Spontaneous Date Night.

So you may have noticed that I didn't post yesterday, well Ed and I kinda, accidentally had a date night. I love it when nights like this happen, we went into town shopping for some last bits for camping in Doris, then went for a beer at Brewdog which turned into two because they have Dead Pony Club on tap as well as this awesome guest draft called Atlantic Drift. Then we decided to have a cheeky Nandos, I always have extra extra sauce because I am a bit of a spice fiend and I enjoy watching Ed struggle trying to match me with the hot sauce. Then we trundled home and chilled out. Was a super perfect evening <3

Hope you have some super cool plans looming for the Bank Holiday Weekend!

BrewDog Wednesday.

As it is a bank holiday on Friday, today is more like a Thursday. So to celebrate this weird logic Ed and I decided to go to BrewDog for a couple of jars this evening. I had Dead Pony Club which is one of my all time favourite craft beers, then I tried one called Chaos Theory which was pretty damn awesome as well.

BrewDog is possibly our favourite place to drink, and maybe Ed and I are biased but we think BrewDog Nottingham is the best! We have been to the one in Edinburgh and Birmingham but we still love the Nottingham one most. The vibe is always really cool and you don't get those scary, letchy, beery men in there either *yey*.

Ed and I had a lovely few hours chatting and drinking then we went home and cooked a delicious curry using my mum and dad's own curry blend that they give us in jars. It has been a pretty good Wednesday, roll on the bank holiday weekend with all the fun that we haven't planned yet.

Any exciting plans for the extra long weekend?

The Treasure that came in the Post.

I've had some rather lovely packages in the post the last two days. Yesterday my first package came with my Embroidered Effects book, I am a bit of a craft-holic and I never feel satisfied with the amount of crafts that I know/ have had a go at. I've recently been doing some cross stitch which I have really loved but I sometimes feel that it is a little regimented. So I thought that maybe it would be fun to have a go at embroidery as it seems a lot freer. There is an amazing project in this book where you stitch over a photo you have transferred to fabric, I have been inspired to have a play with this idea with some of photos from our wedding.

The second package of treasure came today, it was a whole bunch of photos my mum had snapped at our wedding. It made a really nice change to have the pictures actually printed, I'm so used to having pictures digitally I had kind have forgotten how sentimental hard copies could be. I think I might make a photo album to put them in so our wedding memories are safe forever.

Scrappies Adventure.

So yesterday we went to Scrappies to get some ribbon to finish off my bouquet and the button holes. We needed a lot of white ribbon and managed to get 20m for £3! Which was an absolute bargain.

Scrappies is a recycling centre crossed with a craft store. It is full of lots of crazy items that may have just ended up in landfill somewhere, but it is lovely to see that they are being given a new lease of life here for all us wonderfully clever crafters.

Ed and I loved these erasers, we thought they were exactly the things needed to raise well rounded children.

They have so much wallpaper, I found that you can made fab gift bags out of it.

Ahh the creepy, scappy spider.

I am such a sucker for old vinyl records like this *swoon*.

Tubs full of wool and corks... what more could a girl need huh.

There is so much stuff here!

This zappy, scrappy robot.

So I better get going because I still need to write my vows and I'm getting married on Tuesday... Eeek. I am starting to be known as the most disorganised bride ever.
